Cease Now Resolution

CEASEFIRE NOW RESOLUTION

On Oct.16 Rep Cori Bush (D-MO) introduced the following resolution in the House of Representatives: “Resolved, That the House of Representatives- (1) urges the Biden administration to call for and facilitate the deescalation and a cease-fire to urgently end the current violence; and (2) calls upon the Biden administration to promptly send and facilitate the entry of humanitarian assistance into Gaza.” Her resolution was supported by Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D, MI), Andre Carson (D, IN), Summer Lee (D, PA), Delia Ramirez (D, IL), Jamaal Bowman (D, NY), Bonnie Watson Coleman (D, NJ), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D, NY), Ilhan Omar (D, MN), Ayanna Presley (D, MA), Lydia Pressley (D, NY) Supported the resolution.

These Representatives and many international Organizations realize that we cannot bomb our way to peace and have courageously pointed out the humanitarian crisis and the danger of escalation in the face of aggressive Israeli opposition.
