TRUMP’S 2025 IMMIGRATION PLAN

Former Pres. Trump is planning “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history” for his second term if elected in 2024. Millions of undocumented immigrants would be uprooted even years after settling here. Visas of foreign students who participate in anti-Israel or pro-Palestinian demonstrations would be canceled. People granted temporary protected status because they are from countries deemed unsafe would have their status revoked. Birthright citizenship would be ended for babies born to undocumented parents. Public health laws would be used to bar immigrants, and the US refugee program would be suspended. Visitors from certain mostly Muslim or troubled countries would be banned. Large camps would be set up in Texas to hold people awaiting deportation. Trump has said that migrants were “poisoning the blood of our country.” Of course, many of the proposed programs must pass through the Federal courts, but many judges on these courts are Trump appointees. In Trumpland xenophobia reigns supreme.
